Praying for: The United Kingdom, General Election, May 2015

UK Flag
This week, I am going to be praying for the results of the UK General Election to be held this Thursday 7th May.  Could I please encourage readers of this blog to join me, especially those of us who are resident in the UK?  There are now only a couple of days to go until the election, so I would encourage residents of the UK to aim for approx 30 mins per day in prayer for this topic over the next three days.

What I’ll be praying:
1. That God would take complete control of the election; that there would be fairness and that everything would be above board.
2. That if God does have a preferred candidate, that that person would win

3. That whoever wins, that God’s justice etc would reign in this country; that God’s will would come to pass in this country

4. That God would protect the wonderful British institution of the NHS

5. That God would protect the cause of the poor and disadvantaged in the society.

If anyone can think of any other prayer requests, could you please post them below in the comments.  God bless! 😉

Bible Verses:
1 Timothy 2v1-2:
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. ———————————————————————–
